SOCIETY FOR CASE RESEARCH
It was great to see all of you at the MBAA conference last week. I hope that you had as much fun as I did. The Case Research Track was the second-largest track that attended the MBAA. There were approximately 60 of us who attended the convention in person or via zoom and gave presentations. I thank all of you for your efforts in putting cases together, discussing cases, chairing meetings, and working as the scribe. All of you contributed to several days of excellent presentations and discussions. I was also very pleased with the presentation that Stephanie Bryant gave on the impact of case writing.

This was the first year that the presentations were done both in person and via zoom. The general feeling was that this went well, and that it would be the format next year, though some argued that it is a much different conference when all are present. No final decision has been made.

If any of you have not yet received your scribe notes, please let me know, and I will contact your scribe.

Here are the due dates for submission for publication. Submission for review and publication for the JCI is May 31 and submission for review and publication for the JCS is September 30.

The Society for Case Research and Global Jesuit Case Series would like to announce its upcoming meetings.

This summer, Xavier University of Louisiana (New Orleans, LA) will be hosting the summer workshop on July 25-27, 2022. All types of submissions, from embryos to full cases, will be considered, and both in-seat and online sessions will be offered. Papers will be submitted through the IgnitEd website. You can find more information about the event and the full call for papers here. Please consider submitting your work to this year’s workshop as it promises to be another great event!

After this year’s success with the 2022 MBAA conference, SCR is planning for next year as well. The dates for the 2023 MBAA are March 22-24. The meeting will again be held at the Palmer House. There was some discussion about changing the location, but it was agreed to meet at the Palmer House for the next few years.

Please mark your calendar and watch for more information, which will be forthcoming.

Sincerely,
Michael Stellern
