SOCIETY FOR CASE RESEARCH
From the President
Dear SCR members,

Let me start by saying "thank you" for your involvement in the Society for Case Research! Through your participation in the Summer Case Writer's Workshop and the Annual Meeting in Chicago, you've helped our society to flourish as an attractive place for case researchers to develop their skills in case writing and to submit work for review and publication.

I'd like to express my appreciation to our Vice President-Workshop 2019, Britt Shirley and his institution, the University of Tampa, for the success of this past Summer Case Writer's Workshop, organized in partnership with the Global Jesuit Case Series. Britt's work continued the tradition of the summer workshop as a supportive and engaging forum for the development of case writing among participants.

As we progress through the fall semester, I know that all of you are preparing new cases for submission to the Annual Meeting in Chicago. Our Vice President-2020 Program Chair, Julio Rivas at Lipscomb University is working hard to organize a great conference for us in the spring 2020. I encourage you to submit your cases, critical incidents, embryos, papers, and panel session proposals for the conference.

I also want to express my appreciation to Kay Hodge at the University of Nebraska-Kearney for her service as SCR's Executive Director. Kay has long been a presence in our society, and she will continue sharing her experience by assisting with long term planning for future summer workshops. Andy Borchers of Lipscomb University will take her place as SCR's new Executive Director.

Again, thanks for your engagement in the Society for Case Research, and I look forward to seeing all of you in Chicago!

Sincerely,
Patrick Schultz
President 2019-2020
